If only we could be reminded of this truth on the daily, that all we ever need to do is pause and give our attention to what’s calling and mostly that’s our children. I’m guilty of dismissing their calls for attention, and then to later be filled with regrets after the days come to an end. After reading the quote you referenced, my heart softened and sadly put place, the dire need for generosity with my own peoples. To remember the truth of love.

May we all be reminded of the profound impact we have on one another through something so simple as a breath. May we slow down and be with our children in the most present manner we were designed to integrate. Thank you Katherine!

This is lovely. And so true I was also blessed with a lot of positive adult attention in my life.

I love your mom's painting. You're quite lucky to have generous relatives. We grew up poor urban kids. Except for my paternal grandparents who lived in the country, we really didn't go anywhere besides a rare outing at a nearby state park.
